"Great Place to Eat"

"We are local to Ludlow and have eaten many times at the queens, food always well cooked and delicious. Sunday lunch great value, ideally need to book as gets very busy for Sunday lunch. Staff always friendly and helpful, landlady great. The place has a nice atmosphere well worth a visit."

"We arrived for Friday Lunch, it was really busy but we were found a table, the staff were friendly and courteous, the surroundings, traditional and contemporary and to top it all it was the best food that we have eaten out locally for a long time! The 'posh' fish and chips were beautifully presented and delicious. My husband had the Venison Pie was his best ever. We will definitely be back! They sell traditional ales (Ludlow Brewery) and extremely well priced."

"Thursday Night Supper"

"Being a visitor to Ludlow we looked for a pub serving good food and we found it here. We walked in off the street so to speak and the main dining area was fully booked but there was a free table in the bar. We ordered food and drinks. The beer was ludlow brewery which my husband has now got a taste for. Dinner I had their piggin chicken which was exceptional quality meat and He had the sirloin which just melted in the mouth his words not mine. I did have to leave lots of chips as the portion size was generous. Puddings we had homemade apple sponge and custard and tiramisu. Clean plates all round. The staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing. If we lived closer we would be returning. I would recommend thus place to any visitor to ludlow."

"Just been to this restaurant having picked it after reading the other reviews. It was my parents 58th wedding anniversary so we wanted to take them somewhere nice and this restaurant did not disappoint. Food was very tasty, portions are generous and the service was prompt from friendly and knowledgeable staff. Would definitely go again when in the area."

"The New Cottages at The Queens"

"We stayed at the new cottages at the queens it was absolutely beautiful decorated to a very high standard when we got there jane was so friendly and very helpful we had a meal in the hotel it was very nice the staff couldn't do enough for you. Tim & Jane have really worked hard to get these cottages looking fabulous we are going to go back it is a great place al round food- drink-atmosphere- town just 1 min walk."

"The atmosphere is always wonderful. Even if there are a number of customers in which there usually is, it is still a relaxed place to eat. The staff are forever cheerful and helpful. The food is absolutely wonderful and amazing value for money. They also have new apartments for rental. The only thing that I would say is 'Best to book" to avoid disappointment!!"

"Fantastic Cottage Accommodation"

"My partner and I stayed in The Upper Cottage at The Queens and what a fabulous find. Superb location to explore Ludow, the cottage was beautiful and spotless throughout. The cottage was very light and airy and finished to a high quality. You can tell the cottage was designed with a very thoughtful and person touch as it felt very welcoming and homely. The intricate details could be seen throughout and even down to the detail of even having a plug located next to a mirror with a stand for hair straighteners. The proprietors Jane and Tim were so welcoming and delivered a fantastic service and helped us discover some of great little attractions of Ludlow. Nothing was too much trouble. The daily little hampers for breakfast were amazing and by far exceeded our expectations with the personal touch of local and homemade produce. They were delivered to our cottages at a time that we had pre-arranged and were full of delightful breakfast goodies. This pub itself offers a great warm atmosphere with some great local real ales. All the staff were really welcoming and great service was provided. This was just a perfect find and would definitely recommend it and there's no doubt that we will definitely be back."

“A great pub lunch and great to discover somewhere I can drop into for a meal complete with dog after a walk up in the forest. Obviously with clean shoes on and a dried off dog.”
